Dr. Steve Penn

Dr. Steve Penn received his Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. He received extensive clinical training at the VA Hospital in West Haven, Connecticut and the Naval Ambulatory Center in Port Hueneme, California.

He holds California state certifications for therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and is certified in managing and diagnosing all ocular conditions, such as cataract, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, eye infections, dry eye syndrome, ocular allergies, lazy eye and strabismus. He is also certified to treat primary open angle glaucoma which most optometrists are not certified in California. In addition, he is certified to provide corneal refractive therapy, a non-surgical way to correct nearsightedness called Ortho-K

He was the former optometric director for a LASIK Eye Institute. For 10 years from 2010 to 2020, he provided optometry services to more than 40 nursing home hospitals in the Southern California/Inland region. He also worked as the optometric director with ophthalmology and retina group.
